engaged in the bahamas

We snuck off to DC this past weekend and had the most amazing time with friends! The hardest part about moving home was leaving all of our friends in DC behind, so it was so much fun to get some quality time in with everyone. I may or may not have eaten my weight in oysters and fallen while trying to bust a move on the dancefloor. It was well worth the big scrape on my arm :)

But about painting!

Way back in February, we flew down to Nassau with some of our best friends for a surprise proposal, and plotted my own surprise while we were there. To help our friends remember the day they got engaged, I decided to paint the sky from their big day. To be honest, it started out as a super rainy day, so both the proposal and painting plans seemed to be on the verge of collapse. Thankfully though, the sky cleared and we all rushed to the beach! The day turned out to be so much fun and incredibly romantic, and we were all so thankful to be able to share it with our friends. While we were in DC, I finally delivered the finished painting to our friends (both the move and pressure of pleasing friends delayed it a bit :)) and I think they're happy with how it turned out!
