an oldie but a goodie

I want to share a painting with you. While I do like it enough to have hung it in our apartment, I rarely paint flowers so I hadn't included it on the website. That said, I really do love it more and more, so here it is, Poppies. What do you think of it? I'm playing with the idea of bringing flowers back into the mix...

Rather than painting the center of this poppy, I sealed a knot in the plywood and painted the flower around it.
